Rising in the west of Moscow and flowing through Belarus and the Ukraine before emptying into the Black Sea, at 1,420 miles, the Dnieper is the third longest river in Europe.
Navigable for just 10 months of the year when it's not frozen, a river cruise provides a safe and secure way to visit this independent and fascinating country.
We cruise from the attractive city Kiev where you'll marvel at the massive Golden Gates of the Ukrainian capital, before journeying on to the more recent city of Odessa through gentle rolling countryside dotted with domes of village churches.
Perhaps best known in more recent times as the meeting place chosen by Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill to plan the famous 1945 peace treaty to end the Second World War, a cruise down the mighty Dnieper truly is a journey through history.
